Description

Deep Woods Estate, established in 1987, is located in the northern corner of the premium wine-growing region of Margaret River in Western Australia and focuses on the production of super premium wines from the region. The winery is roughly 10 minutes from Dunsborough and 30 minutes from Margaret River.

The Senior Winemaker / Winery Operations Manager will have a pivotal role in the production of some of Margaret Rivers best wines and fostering a culture of safety and success at DWE. Working in a small knit team and reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible but not limited to the following tasks

Reporting to the General Manager, the role will include the following duties:

  • Vintage Co-Ordination and planning
  • Fruit quality and quantity checking
  • Winery staff supervision
  • Co-Ordinating all aspects of post vintage winemaking
  • Co-Ordination and controlling all winery contractors and in-house maintenance staff
  • Manage winery OH&S Team
  • Active participation in all budgetary decisions
  • Assist with brand building, local and interstate activities
  • Ensure food safety standard are upheld to the highest standards, manager the BRC Food Safety Program
  • Lead a culture of success and safe work practices
  • Oversee bottling line operations with production manager

 Essential skills and experience for this role include:

  • Experience in a similar role for 4 Years
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Forklift license
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
