Briar Ridge Vineyard is a world-renowned, family owned winery nestled in the picturesque Mount View region of the Hunter Valley, known for its award-winning wines and commitment to excellence. We are seeking an experienced winemaker to take the reins of our premium wine portfolio. The position is based at the acclaimed Peppertree winery in Pokolbin, however will report directly both to the owner and General manager of Briar Ridge Vineyard.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Practical winemaking experience of at least 3 years
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Winemaking/Oenology are an advantage
Ability to ensure a positive working environment and culture is essential
An eye for detail in all aspects of winemaking and have a 'hands on' approach
Be ready to take a step up in responsibility, while working within a family operation.
Undertake all quality control procedures
Ensure existing winemaking/cellar procedures are followed
Liaise closely with and support the cellar staff and winery manager
Preparation and ordering of all dry goods and packaging requirements
Careful preparation of wines for offsite bottling
Promote the Brand within wholesale and export markets and also at trade shows and wine club events

All applicants will need to be physically capable of performing operational duties due to the hands-on approach of this role.

Hold a valid Australian Driver and Forklift Licence
