A super exciting opportunity is here for a passionate and enthusiastic wine star. We are on the lookout for a Cellar Door / Bar Manager to join our quirky yet fun and supportive team. As a wine bar legend, you will be in charge of maintaining an exceptional guest experience at the SkyBar, one of the Central West's highest and most picturesque wine bar. With boundless energy and skill, this role is for someone who yearns to please, particularly with wine and good times. You will thrive in creating ongoing relationships with new and long-time customers, and delight in conceptualising ideas and events to continuously renew our guest experience.

This role is fulltime permanent, from Thursday to Monday, and offers a generous salary + super.

About the Role

With a focus on direct customer sales and meeting annual sales targets, you will also be responsible for supervising the bar, serving drinks / conducting guided wine tastings, and over seeing its daily operations whilst undergoing light administrative tasks. You will be creating interesting direct to consumer campaigns and educating guests on the benefits of our wine club, maintaining close relationships with club members and motivating database growth.

Job Requirements

  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Wine sales and bar experience with excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to lead a team that delivers an enjoyable, memorable and informative wine experience.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency as well as POS systems. Adobe Creative Suite would be ideal but not essential.
  • Wine education, WSET,  would be an advantage.
  • Flexibility and adaptability within the overall business, when required.

  • Experience in hospitality – wine tasting, wine bar, restaurant.
  • Ensure event styling and documentation is in line with Borrodell marketing standards.
  • The ability to think on your feet and make decisions with informed authority.
  • Organisational skills and great attention to detail and an enjoyment of multitasking.
  • A team focus and collaborative approach to your colleagues.
  • A genuine care for our guests and pride in your work.
