Established in 1965, with an altitude of over 1030 metres above sea-level, Borrodell is one of Australia’s highest vineyards and produces exclusively cool climate wines. The fertile basalt soils from the extinct volcano Mt. Canobolas also plays an important role in our range. The alpine climate ensures four distinct seasons with true intensity – an extremely suitable area for growing cool climate varieties.
Take in the spectacular views while enjoying the Borrodell vintages at the SkyBar. Wine tasting is on offer Thursday through to Monday, from 11am to 3pm. However, the Skybar also functions as a wine bar from 12pm to 6pm for a glass or bottle of wine to enjoy among friends.
At our onsite restaurant Sisters Rock, we offer a menu showcasing the incredible produce of Orange and all that grows in Wiradjuri country. We embrace local and organic principals, a real place to appreciate land and its flavours. From locally farmed meat and vegetables, handcrafted goods from local artisans, or fresh produce grown right here at Borrodell Estate and our Chef’s Garden – apples, cherries, plums, quinces, persimmons, almonds and Black Perigord Truffles, all using sustainable practises and no pesticides. We are proud to present you with a taste of Orange.
