Kootz

Kootz is always up at the crack of dawn when the first rooster crows. As soon as the motorbike starts, his ears prick up and sprints to the gate ready for duty. He jumps up on to the bike ready for his vineyard inspection and scans for anything that moves. Any sight of hares and rabbits, he’s off chasing them around. Kootz is a brilliant vineyard biosecurity guard who doesn’t miss a trick and adores walks around the vineyard boundary with visitors He has the nose for sniffing out fungal disease in ripening bunches when climatic conditions favour its development.
