A diverse role at our Mount Barker site
Main duties of this role include:
- Daily Vintage Maintenance program of vintage machinery
- Liaise with winemaking on any daily equipment review and repair.
- Complete documentation of maintenance carried out
- Assist Senior Maintenance manager in review of program
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to highest possible food handling requirements
- General cleaning and calibration of equipment
- Assist with some general cellar work
- Identify and relate any issues with equipment to prevent breakdown or production outages.
- Assist in crusher and press operations when required
- Operate within all OHS expectations, and assist in the maintaining of a safe and healthy working environment
- Support the ongoing quality improvement program.
- Provide assistance when required in the packaging and production operations.
- Other duties as requested by management
Qualifications & Experience/Knowledge
- Relevant industry experience
- Understanding Process engineering and quality implications
- An understanding of laboratory procedures and analysis expectations
- An understanding of bottling line processes and equipment
- A familiarity with European built equipment would be an advantage
- Ability to communicate issues, and understand instruction
- An understanding of the issues that can occur during vintage in a wine cellar.
- Knowledge of general Cellar Hand procedures and duties
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to complete tasks unsupervised

For an immediate start. This is a casual part time position, with the expectation of being available from late January to late May working 6 days per week.
