In the heart of the Riverland, our Loxton-based winery offers the opportunity to work in a professional environment, while enjoying the benefits of a riverside location and a strong community atmosphere.

Reporting to the Senior Winemaker, the primary focus of this position is the production of red and white wine with appropriate styles, in accordance with safety, productivity, efficiency and quality requirements. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting in red and white winemaking;
• Ensuring day to day production requirements are achieved on time;
• Yeast and MLF culture preparation;
• Juice preparation and maintenance;
• Tasting ferments and adjusting as required;
• Assisting with oak planning and schedules;
• Blending and final dispatch preparation;
• Assisting with projects and research and development;
• Overseeing wine storage parameters;
• Supporting cellar and production staff; and
• Being an integral part of contract customer services.

As this is an ongoing position, applicants must be eligible and have the right to work in Australia. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in wine science or equivalent are essential, as well as highly proficient computer skills. Experience in the use of the Ezy Wine IT system is desirable.

Applicants need to be available and willing to work extended shifts, rotating shifts and weekend work, during the Vintage period.
