We are looking to fill a Winemaker position at our Yenda Winery. The ideal addition to our winemaking team will be a passionate and driven individual with three to five years of large winery experience.

Responsibilities will include

• Assist in planning of vintage intake for winery
• Ensure wine quality maintained at all times
• Trial work to improve quality and cost reduction
• Develop new wine styles in line with customers’ expectations
• Public Relations/Wine Tastings
• Monitor safety standards and ensure cellar operations are conducted in accordance with safety requirements
• Be aware of and conduct all business in compliance with all food safety standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• Tertiary or equivalent degree in Winemaking or Oenology
• Demonstrated large winery experience over three to five years specialising in large scales wineries.
• A team player with effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently, managing your own workload and priorities.
• Show evidence of excellent supervision, organising and planning skills including use of computer systems.
• Demonstrate good presentation and effective communication skills.
• A practical understanding of running a large winery on a profitable basis.
