Josef Chromy Wines is one of Tasmania’s most renowned winemakers, acclaimed for our exceptional cool-climate expressions of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and methode traditionnelle sparkling wines.

Established in 2004, Josef Chromy Wines has amassed over 29 trophies and 552 medals, including 84 Gold, making it one of the most successful launches in the history of the Tasmanian wine industry.

The Opportunity

Based at our estate, this is your chance to work with one of Tasmania’s most awarded wineries, taking ownership of and growing our already successful Wine Club.

This role oversees the daily operation of our Wine Club and is responsible for managing the sales and marketing programs, as well as developing and managing a promotional calendar that encompasses digital, direct and loyalty marketing campaigns and events.

The estate is located just 10 minutes from Launceston city centre and the airport and hosts a modern, award-winning restaurant set within 61 hectares of vineyard and beautifully maintained English gardens. We proudly showcase the quality of our wines through our cellar door experience and warmly welcome members into our wine club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The management of all aspects of Wine Club member customer service.
  • Managing and driving Wine Club engagement strategies, acquisition, and retention programs, and developing new initiatives.
  • The planning, organizing, and execution of our regular member wine deliveries.
  • Communication with members ahead of their regular Wine Club deliveries.
  • Developing regular newsletters and EDMs
  • Working closely with cellar door staff to maximize opportunities to acquire new members.
  • The planning, organizing, and execution of our member events.
  • Oversee the updating of the online store with new release wines, sale specials, promotions, inventory; processes of online orders as needed
  • Leverage data collected through POS/Web to execute sales strategies via email, phone and mail campaigns to generate incremental sales
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans focusing on profitability, and consumer acquisition and retention
  • Developing new ideas to keep in contact and encourage positive relationships with club members through special offers and promotions
  • Have confidence and professionalism to lead, inspire and motivate the team with great leadership skills and ability to drive the team to achieve desired results
  • Coordinate/participate in off-site events and consumer events when necessary

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in eCommerce
  • Excel / Word / Powerpoint - advanced skills
  • Experience with Wine Direct e-commerce software will be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in Wine Club management is also highly regarded
  • Exceptional Customer Service
  • An outgoing and enthusiastic personality.
  • A passion for premium wine and hospitality
  • A positive proactive leader who can connect with people at all levels to drive a positive team culture
  • Confidence to speak publicly and conduct estate tours or host families where necessary
  • Australian Drivers licence and RSA
