Are you an honest, hardworking, common sensed person with a positive attitude looking for work in the upcoming vintage in the Barossa Valley for Vintage 2021?

This position would have a lot of varying rolls so ability to adjust, learn and be flexible are extremely important.

Various tasks such as wine grape sampling, general vineyard work, operating wine pumps, crusher/destemmer operation, must pump operation, barrel washing and filling and pump overs, digging out fermenters, and many more tasks.

Previous forklift and tractor experience/license would be a big advantage.

Also possibility of Cellar Door work so if you have a valid RSA and good people skills that would be a bonus.

Drivers license is a requirement of this job as you'll be required to do some driving. Other farm/maintenance skills would be a bonus.

You'll be part of a small team of hard working individuals and required to put in quality work and to be self-motivated and have solid initiative to think through tasks and problem solve by yourself at times. While most times you'll be required to follow directions from our winemaking/management team.

Expected work period (Timing of vintage dependent on weather and ripening)

• Induction period approx.. Late-February.
• Vintage approx. last week Feb – Mid April.
• Hours 38-40 hours per week but this will be higher at busy stages of vintage depending on skill level/attitude of applicant.
• Some weekend work will be required.

If successful you'll be working at a small family owned and operated winery which produces mostly premium Shiraz wine grapes as well as smaller volumes of Cab Sauv, Grenache and various alternate varieties of wine grapes. Due to the high intake of Shiraz there will be a 3-4 week period where operations will be very busy and a need to produce high quality work is extremely important.

Previous experience or an active/keen interest in the wine industry would be highly beneficial.

There is potential for future employment (if the applicant is a good fit to our company and vice versa) within the company as a versatile winery/cellar hand, cellar door and vineyard worker.
