Henschke now has an exciting opportunity available to join the team in the following role:

Vineyard Technical Officer

The Vineyard Technical Officer reports to and supports the Chief Viticulturist in the development and effective implementation of our vineyard programs to ensure we achieve our quality standards and goals across our vineyard sites.

The key responsibilities of this role are:

  • Developing, evaluating and advising on programs relating to pest and disease management, yield estimations, irrigation management and nutritional analysis;
  • Monitoring of irrigation water sources;
  • Preparing reports by collecting, interpreting and analysing data relating to vineyard programs;
  • Additional project work as required

To be successful in this role, you will have a Diploma or Degree in Viticulture, current Chemcert certification and a current Driver’s Licence. You will also have sound computing skills and experience with data collection and analysis. You will have viticulture experience and a commitment to keep your technical knowledge up to date. You will also have an interest in Organic and Biodynamic approaches to vineyard management.
