Tanium, a subsidiary of Grapeworks, is a well established business specialising in the sale, installation and service of wine and beverage equipment across Australia.  Tanium supplies, installs and services a complete range of fruit handling, receival, processing, bottling, disgorging & packaging machinery and equipment for the beverage industry.

About the role

With an enviable client base and over xxx customers to support, Tanium is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic technician who has proven experience in the beverage, bottling and packaging industry to join our team.  A newly created role based in our Melbourne office, you will play a fundamental role in supporting our valued customers throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Australia.  This is an additional role to support the growth of our technical services team.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Installation and commissioning of processing, filling, labelling and packaging equipment
  • Machine programming error diagnosis and fault finding
  • Providing breakdown support and scheduled maintenance for customers equipment
  • Working with and supervising contractors when required
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and all internal and external stakeholders

About you

To become part of the team, there’s a few skills you should have:

  • Hold a mechanical trade qualification with experience in the beverage industry
  • 2+ years demonstrated technical experience within the bottling industry
  • Excellent diagnostic and planning skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Be customer focussed with a professional demeanour and a high commitment to quality outcomes
  • A comprehensive understanding of all safety and quality control aspects
  • Hold a current Drivers and Forklift licence
  • A positive attitude, initiative and willingness to take accountability whilst working independently without supervision
  • Articulate with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Disconnect / reconnect license would be an advantage and a Certificate in Food Processing highly desirable
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and NetSuite an advantage
  • Preferably have Electrical and PLC programming experience/qualifications
