Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most beautiful vineyards in Victoria’s Yarra Valley located at the foot of the Warramate Hills. Established in 1969 by Dr Bailey Carrodus, the 1973 vintage saw production of the first vintage of Dry Red Wine No. 1 and Dry Red Wine No. 2.

Our Tasting Room is nestled amongst 29 hectares of vineyard steeped in Australian wine history. We offer our guests an extensive seated tasting of some of the Yarra Valley’s most iconic wines.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, wine-loving person to join our tasting room team on a casual basis. The purpose of the role is to provide our guests with an exceptional wine tasting experience in a relaxed, refined setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maximise visitation to the Yarra Yering Tasting Room and ensure all visitors receive a premium experience executed with a high-level of professionalism and attention to detail.
• Act as a brand ambassador, hosting tastings with a high degree of professionalism, displaying superior wine, brand and regional knowledge.
• Assist with Tasting Room operations including opening and closing procedures, cash management, bookings, stock management and ensuring a high standard of presentation and hygiene are being adhered to.
• Packing and despatching of all online and telephone orders ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

We are looking for someone 2 days a week, Thursdays and Saturdays, with potential to increase to three days. Demonstrable wine knowledge and previous industry experience is a must, as is a current RSA and driver’s license. WSET Level 2 or 3 preferred. Experience with POS and CRM systems will be advantageous.
