Established in 1860 Tahbilk is one of Australia's most beautiful and historic family owned wineries. Located in the Nagambie Lakes region of central Victoria (120kms north of Melbourne), one of the nation's premium viticultural areas. The property comprises some 1,214 hectares of rich river flats with a frontage of 11 kms to the Goulburn River and 8 kms of permanent backwaters and creeks. Purchased by the Purbrick family in 1925, Tahbilk is home to 5 generations.
Tahbilk and Tahbilk Group vineyards are home to some 300 hectares of vineyards specialising in grape varietals from the Rhone including white varietals: Marsanne, Viognier and Roussanne and red varietals Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvedre. Also growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Verdelho grapes. We currently have 25% of these vineyards under organic production, with a vision to increase this area.
In order to continue our journey, we are looking for a motivated and driven Group Viticulturist to lead our team and continue maintaining our vineyards at an exceptional level. Working alongside other Managers within our team, this role encompasses a variety of vineyards, various Viticultural practices and the ability to work with some of the country’s oldest known vines. It is both a challenging and rewarding role that will offer the right candidate the ability to be involved in producing world class wines.
With a constant focus on improvement, you will work closely with our Winemakers as well as leading and mentoring a dedicated vineyard team in our Group Vineyards across the Goulburn Valley.
