What you’ll do

To support the development and facilitation of Safety, Health & Wellbeing strategies, initiatives and systems to ensure a safe work environment for Pinnacle Drinks Team Members, Contractors, Customers and Visitors with a particular focus on our Winery sites including Wine production, Bottling, Hospitality and Vineyard management. To support injured employees in their rehabilitation and return to work plans.

  • Collaborate with the business to execute a SH&W strategy and operating plan for all businesses, ensuring alignment with the overarching business strategy / imperatives.
  • Advise and challenge the Senior Leadership teams on SH&W matters.
  • Develop and deliver position statements on key SH&W issues as they arise.
  • Execute a data driven SH&W plan each financial year that is aligned with the objectives set by the Senior Leadership teams and integrate with the broader Endeavour Drinks business planning process and overall direction of Endeavour Drinks.
  • Roll-out specific SH&W campaigns in response to trends identified from lead and/or lag indicators.
  • Assist with the ongoing audit and review of SH&W performance across the business, benchmarking key metrics within the SH&W management system to ensure they meet best practice standards and align with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor developments, trends, legislation and regulations related to SH&W, evaluate their impact on business operations and communicate impacts to affected divisions within the business.
  • Proactively strive for a reduction in recordable incidents, lost hours and weekly active cases for wages and medical costs.
  • Attend Project meetings for key projects as required.
  • Develop safety systems, to enhance the safety of employees and comply with legislation requirements.
  • Support Leaders, Health and Safety Representatives and Team Members with inductions, training, consultation, communication, risk assessments, incident investigations and vineyard management.
  • Provide relevant SH&W training to employees across wineries and vineyards.
  • Educate and improve safety awareness of management and site teams.

Your background:

  • To be successful in this role, you will be great at influencing various stakeholders. Ideally you will demonstrate considerable experience in the following key areas:
  • Cert 4 / Diploma of OHS along with a passion for safety
  • Certification in - Return To Work, Trainer and Assessor and auditing
  • Experience in the Wine and or Hospitality industry would be advantageous.
  • The ability to negotiate ,resolve conflict & project manage
  • Comfortable in writing, analysis, preparation of submissions & presentation skills
  • Selection of cost-effective solutions that meet both regulatory obligations & management need
