Sales Manager

We are seeking a motivated and experienced full-time Sales Manager. Immediate Start. Office located on Queens Road, Melbourne.

We are a family-owned business that have been growing and selling wine for over twenty-five years on a picturesque estate in the Yarra Valley. The role will be based out of our head office on Queens Road in Melbourne, which overlooks Albert Park Lake (parking spot included). You will also be required to work in the field as you develop and nurture business relationships.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with existing and new customers
  • Acquire new wholesale customers
  • Source new opportunities to sell our wine
  • Provide action plans and target lists for wines on our portfolio
  • Work with and drive our outsourced commissioned sales reps
  • Report to management on sales activity, forecasting and business planning processes
  • Contribute to businesses development strategy
  • Process purchase orders via our online platform
  • On occasion, work at special events (e.g. wine shows) and conduct tastings

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the wine sales industry
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Confidence and charisma as you represent our wine to new and existing customers
  • A drive to achieve sales
  • Proficient computer skills, including the Microsoft Excel
  • A good knowledge and understanding of wine (WSET Level 1 & 2 preferred but not required)

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • RSA certificate
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency
  • a full and unrestricted driving license and own car

This role would suit an experienced wine sales professional who has a sense of independence, ambition and entrepreneurship.
