San Miguel Yamamura Australasia (SMYA) is an established leader in packaging and contract wine filling in Australia and New Zealand.  We started as Cospak Pty Ltd over 50 years ago, and today the company is a joint venture between two packaging leaders, San Miguel Corporation of the Philippines and Nihon Yamamura Glass of Japan.  SMYA is headquartered in Sydney and is present in all the major states across Australia and Auckland, New Zealand.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager | Wine, the primary purpose of the Sales Executive | WA is to action sales growth by gainfully acquiring business opportunities as well as maximizing sales and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through the provision of high quality service. This role would be suited to a driven performance based individual with key contacts in the wine or packaging industry.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee state-based Sales Representative(s) in WA with a drive to sales targets and objectives.
  • Maintain contact with Western Australian wine marketplace.
  • Responsible for adherence to calendar of regular visits to wineries and wine industry producers.
  • Disseminate product samples, information and price lists to market.
  • Collect specific information relevant for the purposes of pricing and supply.
  • Liaise with National Sales Manager in formulation and dissemination of quotes.
  • Liaise with clients on development of artwork for printed products.
  • Liaise with Client Services, Laboratory and Warehousing on supply logistics of products and services.
  • Provide coverage and support as required for sales and dry goods logistics staff.
  • Produce sales and market reports as required.
  • Maintains regular service to customers in a nominated geographical area  in order to achieve set sales targets
  • Build rapport with key individuals and demonstrate reliability by following through on undertakings.
  • In cooperation with others, satisfy customer requirement deadlines for products.
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all interactions with customers.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role (wine industry experience will see your application highly regarded), have the ability to develop new customer opportunities and manage key accounts, be proactive in your approach and bring with you a ‘solution’ sales background.
