About the business

We are looking for a talented and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our Small Story Merchants team. We represent a carefully curated portfolio of small, family-owned producers from Australia and Europe.

The Role
Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Business Manager, the role involves daily travel to see clients. Your responsibilities will be to:

• Drive business growth through new and established sales and distribution channels.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships in independent Off-Premise and On-Premise accounts.
• Actively work towards clear targets and implement sales strategies.
• Provide regular activity reporting and feedback in line with sales plans and targets.

Role Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years sales experience in wholesale wine sales in Melbourne, or a similar business sector.
• Solid knowledge and experience with international wines is essential.
• Pre-existing wine customer relationships within and around Melbourne.
• A confident relationship builder with outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to influence effective outcomes based on sound reasoning and advice.
• Sound proficiency in computing skills.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
