We are looking for a talented and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our Small Story Merchants team. This curated selection of small, family-owned producers believes that it’s not just a possibility, but a responsibility to provide a high quality, premium products without leaving a heavy footprint.

The Role

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the State Sales Manager, the role involves daily travel to see clients. The role will also require a portion of new and existing account development, so your experience, excellent communication and your relaxed and confident attitude will be key to success. Your duties will include:

  • You will drive business growth through new and established sales and distribution channels.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships in independent Off-Premise and On-Premise accounts.
  • Actively work towards clear targets and implement sales strategies.
  • Provide regular reporting and feedback in line with sales plans and targets.

About You

  • Minimum 2-3 years sales experience in wholesale wine sales in Melbourne, or a similar business sector.
  • A confident relationship builder with outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have strong attention to detail and the ability to influence effective outcomes based on sound reasoning and advice.
  • Have a solid understanding of international wines
  • Proficient computing skills.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Pre-existing wine customer relationships are looked upon favourably.
