Levantine Hill has an exciting opportunity to join the team as Restaurant Manager. The primary purpose of the role is to manage restaurant operations effectively, efficiently and profitability. This is a hands-on role, which would suit an experienced hospitality professional who has a passion and knowledge for wine, customer service and operational excellence.

Who you will be doing it for:

Levantine Hill is an award-wining winery and vineyard in the Yarra Valley, which includes a restaurant, state-of-the-art winery with multiple events spaces and cellar door. This role is in the heart of the Yarra Valley’s golden mile at our Estate on Maroondah Highway in Coldstream.

 

What you will be doing:

We are looking for an exceptional restaurant manager to manage our front of house team.  You will be responsible for 'hands on' daily operations, you will oversee your team to achieve set targets and objectives across all departments, whilst also maintaining the integrity and high standards of the Levantine Hill brand. You must provide a high level of customer service to ensure all guests have a memorable wine and food experience.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Customer service.
  • Wine sales.
  • Leading and managing the front of house team.
  • Roster management and human resource management
  • End of day reports.
  • Strategy and systems – H&L point of sale, and Seven Rooms reservations.
  • Assisting with functions and event management.

 

What you must have to apply: 

  • Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma, or at least 3 years’ full time work experience as a Restaurant Manager or Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Proven management skills to motivate and enhance team performance.
  • A true understanding of hospitality financials with the ability to analyse and control expenditure.
  • Sales experience with the ability to train others.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, to deliver outstanding service consistently.
  • High attention to detail with a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Computer proficient – ability to use POS / IT systems to maintain efficient operations.
  • Ability to work public holidays and weekends.
  • Positive attitude, well-mannered and well presented.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and organisation, providing the highest quality experience.
  • Strong computer literacy.
