Description

Vinous + Vinous Imports is on the hunt for an energetic and driven new Sales Manager. We want someone who shares our philosophies to bring a fresh face and positive attitude to manage one of our well-established New South Wales territories.

Using both our Domestic and French-focused Imported portfolio, you’ll be selling to all types of premium venues, from small bars to fine dining to independent retail. You'll predominantly cover parts of Sydney city and inner-city suburbs, and some select regional areas – all established territory with room for further growth.

Our portfolio of domestic and imported producers is regarded as one of the finest in the country, having been lovingly curated over the last 18 years. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the great wines of Australia and the world. This includes the chance to travel both domestically and internationally (COVID permitting) to meet our producers, and build your own relationships with them when they visit.

We will consider all levels of experience for this role. Previous wine sales experience and being based in Sydney are absolute pre-requisites. Knowledge of our company and a working knowledge of our portfolios is highly advantageous.

To join our dynamic, focused, and friendly crew you need:

  • A current, well-established connection to the wine scene, across premium on and off premise channels in Sydney.
  • A passion for fine wine and advanced wine knowledge. CMS/WSET/MW study and qualifications a plus.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and remotely with a small, highly integrated team.
  • The organisational skills and sales acumen to exceed your budgets and reap the rewards.
  • Outstanding communication skills to engage colleagues and customers – from small business owners to corporate organisations.
  • An understanding of organic, biodynamic and natural wine.
  • A positive solution-seeking attitude, a curious nature, and an insatiable hunger for knowledge.
  • A full driver’s license, proficient computer skills, and unlimited rights to work in Australia.

What you will receive in return…

  • A salary package reflecting your experience; including car allowance, comms, educational travel (COVID permitting), plus a generous wine allowance
  • A rewarding role that makes going to work every day a pleasure
  • A professional, well-resourced, supportive, and informal work environment to develop your career

If this role interests you, please send a cover letter addressing the criteria above and your resume addressed to Tim Stock - info@vinous.com.au
