JOB DESCRIPTION

A rare opportunity has arisen to join this award-winning McLaren Vale Winery. On offer is a true career opportunity for an experienced and motivated person who possesses strong skills and experience in plant and machinery maintenance.

We are searching for a real Jack of all Trades.

Reporting directly to the Senior Winemaker, this multi-faceted role is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Work closely with the Senior Winemaker in monitoring and maintaining all aspects of winery machinery, including but not limited to; pumps, presses, fridge plants, barrel washers
• Maintaining accurate records and reports for plant and machinery
• Liaise with external contractors
• Tractor and vehicle maintenance
• General yard maintenance, grading, slashing, spraying
• Test and tag moveable appliances
• Winery wastewater system
• Light vintage, warehouse and cellar duties

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate for this exciting opportunity will ideally possess the following attributes:

• A highly professional, personable and quick thinking “can do” disposition
• The ability to take ownership of the diverse and challenging tasks that present themselves daily
• Excellent communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• The ability to work in a close team environment as well as autonomously
• Competent welding skills an advantage
• An electrical license would be highly advantageous
• Forklift licence

Work Schedule is negotiable and remuneration will be based on applicants qualifications
