Zilzie Wines is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Fitter and Welder to join their team. As a Maintenance Fitter and Welder, you will be responsible for keeping equipment and machinery running smoothly, so that the winery can continue produce high-quality wines. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for career advancement and a competitive salary package. 

 About the role 

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter and Welder to join our Maintenance Team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for: 

  • Preventative and breakdown maintenance of all plant and equipment within the facility 
  • Maintenance production machinery 
  • General machining to manufacture components as required 
  • General fabrication as required 
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting 
  • Minimise downtime and implement continuous improvement initiatives on plant equipment 

The ideal candidate for this position will possess: 

  • A trade qualification in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance or a similar field
  • Experience with the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment 
  • A strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures 
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, within a team and to deadlines.
