Australia's leading wine industry publisher, Winetitles Media, is seeking an entry-level journalist to commence, or continue an existing cadetship to work across its specialist range of print and online publications and social media accounts.

Some grape/wine industry knowledge or exposure will be an advantage as well as regional newspaper work experience. Completion of a journalism degree or a current cadetship is a prerequisite for the role.

With mentoring, you will cover general news and create feature articles for the Grapegrower and Winemaker and write and compile breaking news in our e-news bulletins. Experience in taking photographs, producing videos will be considered factors in selection.

Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound computer knowledge, the ability to build networks quickly and the confidence to develop their own stories. Most importantly, they need to display the willingness to learn and grow their journalistic skills.

A strong work ethic, excellent time management, well-developed research and writing skills, together with the ability to work under deadline pressure are all crucial. A valid driver's licence is also essential.
