An exciting opportunity exists to join the Handpicked team as a full time Ambassador located in the Handpicked Urban Cellar door. This is located in Chippendale and showcases the award-winning wines from the Handpicked vineyards.

As an Ambassador, you will pride yourself in delivering exceptional customer service with a focus on sales and a demonstrated passion for wine.

We are looking for a new team member who has the following capabilities:

• Strong wine knowledge with the ability to recommend food and wine pairings
• Excellent communication skills and be able to engage with people from all nationalities
• Work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Enjoy wine sales and are target oriented
• High level of personal presentation,
• A friendly can-do attitude
• A desire to develop your wine and cheese knowledge
• Physically fit, capable of lifting cases of wine
• Valid RSA, work visa/citizenship
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and evenings

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Confidently recommend and sell wine
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Represent the Handpicked brand maintaining high Cellar Door presentation standards
• Host guided wine and cheese tastings to large and small groups, in person and virtually
• Assist with in house and off-site events providing function and events service
• Food and wine service
• Work diligently in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• General housekeeping duties such as moving stock, cleaning etc…
