Position Overview:
Sobels Winery is a premium Australian winery renowned for excellence in winemaking, located at Hunter Valley NSW 2320.
We are expanding our wholesale distribution and looking for a highly driven, results-oriented Sales Director to join us. This role might involve developing and executing B2B sales strategy, marketing plans to drive brand growth and increase sales annually. A valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) license is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop effective wholesale sales strategies to exceed 500,000+ bottle sales annually.
- Build and manage strong relationships with major hospitality buyers, distributors, and retail chains to expand wholesale sales.
- Negotiate large-scale contracts and secure long-term wholesale partnerships.
- Ensure strict KPI adherence, with quarterly/yearly performance reviews.
Requirements:
- Valid RSA license (Responsible Service of Alcohol).
- Proven experience in B2B sales, with wholesale/distribution experience (wine industry preferred) for minimum of 5 years.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for B2B engagement.
- Knowledge of the Australian wine industry (Related industry experience is a plus).
- Existing strong network with wholesale channels, e.g. hotels, restaurants, bottle shops, or liquor distributors in Australia.
KPIs & Performance Metrics:
- Main: Achieve 500,000 annual sales in quantity (Across online/offline channels).
- Build partnerships with wholesale channels locally or internationally.
