Claymore Wines, located in the beautiful Clare Valley, is seeking a person who has a great passion for wine and can provide unique experiences for all our visitors by sharing our stories and delivering exceptional customer service. We need someone to help us at our cellar door where you can have a direct and long-lasting impact on our brand and business. If you have experience working in the F&B/ Café/ Cellardoor space, this role may very well suit you. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Reporting to our General Manager, this person is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Cellar Door and achieving established key performance measures relating to sales, customer service & customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate Cellar Door sales, events and customer service
  • CRM, POS & Database management
  • Extend and develop our loyal customer base
  • Assist with production of DTC marketing campaigns & online newsletters
  • Creating opportunities to re-energise and re-engage with customers
  • Develop events and marketing for our member database and new customer groups
  • Provide exemplary customer service for new and existing clients.
  • Promoting Claymore Wines as a destination and fostering tourism and visitation 
  • Administration including end of day/ weekly reporting and Stock Management
  • Maintains a high standard in presentation, cleanliness and neatness of cellar door and surrounds.

Successful applicants must have:

  • Excellent customer service capabilities
  • Good wine knowledge
  • Ideally, prior experience with a strong track record of success (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet changing deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Competent MS Office skills
  • Good knowledge of EFTPOS, POS software systems and online payment gateway systems
  • A current RSA.

This is a permanent full-time position, (including fortnightly weekends). Applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia and must have a valid Australian work permit.
