We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced casual staff member to work 2 to 3 days a week (including a weekend day - 7 hours per day) in our brand new McLaren Vale cellar door opening in December 2021 with the potential for full time employment.

The successful applicant will have:

• A keen passion for hospitality and wine
• A sound understanding of the styles and properties of wine
• Prior experience in a sales and customer service role within the hospitality industry
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and professional demeanour with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail
• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
• Reliable vehicle with full driver’s license
• WSET desirable

Duties

The successful applicant will perform the following duties:

• Greeting all guests promptly and educating them on the Ortus Wines story
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Serving wine & cheese platters
• Processing sales
• Signing up mailing list and club members
• Polishing glasses
• Preparing tasting plates
• Cleaning plates and tables
• Stocking wine
• Till Reconciliation
• Maintain cleanliness of the cellar door, kitchen, and bathroom areas, following all appropriate food handling and OH&S procedures
