The Role

We’re looking for an experienced cellar door manager, with the energy and passion to showcase our wines and lead this amazing cellar door to reach its full potential.

In return, we offer a unique opportunity, to manage our iconic cellar door and make your mark in wine industry.

You’ll work daylight hours, including weekends (no nights woohoo!), and manage our small, expert cellar door team.

Your days will involve:

• Sharing your knowledge, passion and expertise about the Coldstream Hills wines and Yarra Valley with visitors
• Managing all cellar door involvement with founder/wine journalist- James Halliday
• Managing cellar door tasting experiences, wine offers and consumer experiences
• Full P&L responsibility for the cellar door performance, as well as managing forecasting and inventory
• Developing and executing the cellar door visitation plan including collaborating with other Yarra Valley wineries, local tourism and corporate engagement programs
• Being a key member of the Penali Cellar Doors senior leadership group
• Taking care of site health and safety

Skills/Experience

• A deep love for great wine
• Experience working in or managing a winery cellar door
• High level communication skills
• Strong customer service skills and storytelling ability
• Strong commercial, strategic thinking and execution skills
• Strong skills across Word, Excel and basic Point of Sale Operations
• Current Victorian RSA and Driver’s License
