Wine by Sam is a boutique urban winery located in the township of Seymour, 70 minutes from Melbourne and within walking distance of public transport.

The successful applicant will be a dedicated team player who is passionate about customer service and is inspired to deliver creative wine experiences.

Remuneration $60-80,000 and will be reflective of skills and experience. In addition to salary is a generous wine allowance.

Terms and conditions are in accordance with the National Employment Standards and the Wine Industry Award, (MA000090).

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role encompasses both Cellar Door and Online Sales & Support responsibilities and includes but is not limited to:

  1. CELLAR DOOR:
  • Oversee daily operations incorporating sales, tastings, service & events
  • Recruit, train & manage Cellar Door team, including rostering
  • Manage Cellar Door supplies, merchandise and stock control
  • Maintain procedural and compliance obligations, including Workplace health and safety policies
  • Prepare a calendar of Cellar Door events
  • Procure daily sales reports and monthly sales reporting
  1. ONLINE SALES & SUPPORT
  • Wine Club / Online Sales responsibilities include the marketing and promotion of Wine Club and processing of Wine Club and Online orders
  • Social media management to increase brand awareness, promote visitation and increase retail sales. Media formats currently include Facebook, Instagram, Mailing List and Wine Club. Additional activities which provide materials for posting to online customers
  • Develop and procure marketing assets
  • Other administration tasks as required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • RSA
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Food Safety Supervision
  • First aid certificate (optional)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
