Located at Woodside, Simon Tolley Wines (STW) is a successful South Australian boutique wine and tourism business. It encompasses grape growing, winemaking, a cellar door & domestic wholesale wine sales and online wine sales.

We’ve been a passionate supporter of the SA wine industry and Adelaide Hills Wine Region for many years. Led by Simon Tolley, a fifth-generation wine grower, we’re proud of our heritage and our place in the South Australian wine industry, and we’re passionate about growing our business and increasing the number of customers with whom we can share our world-class products and experiences.

Our goal is to grow and make premium wine & to deliver a first-class experience to all our wine and accommodation customers. As a result, an exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our growing business as the Cellar Door Manager.

The Role

You will strategically manage the profitable development of the Cellar Door including sales (direct/club), site promotion and brand awareness. There will be a strong focus on membership loyalty programs and direct to consumer sales to ensure annual & quarterly profit targets are achieved.

 

The key responsibilities of the Cellar Door Manager include the following:

  • Develop a sales and marketing plan for the STW group to drive online sales, cellar door sales and accommodation bookings
  • Execute upon your marketing strategy to drive wine and accommodation sales
  • Create and manage budgets for each part of the business, track progress against forecasts, and update budgets
  • Deliver an outstanding experience to guests of Simon Tolley Lodge (ST Lodge) and drive new and repeat bookings
  • Design and deliver small-scale events such as VIP-member gatherings that are memorable and personal
  • To ensure the Cellar Door is run effectively and efficiently.

You will possess the following:

  • A sound knowledge of wine and viticulture, and a passion for the industry
  • Wine region awareness, especially within South Australia
  • Excellent communication and event management skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in business management, marketing or a related field
  • Prior experience in sales and marketing
  • Demonstrated financial acumen
  • Strong sales forecasting and budgeting skills
