Fermoy is a premium Margaret River Winery, with a 35 year history of producing exceptional wines.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced cellar door manager to manage our busy and growing cellar door, based at our winery in Wilyabrup, Margaret River.
Our cellar door is a vital part of our growing business model with a strong focus on the highest level of quality customer service and maximising retail sales, including growing our wine club and managing functions and events to continue to grow our retail sales.
The successful applicant will have strong sales, marketing and administration experience, exceptional organisational ability, have a friendly and outgoing personality and have proven success in generating direct to consumer sales and managing a busy cellar door and/or retail sales outlet.
You will have suitable management experience and have demonstrated success in leading, managing, supervising and training a team of casual staff and managing and maintaining a culture based on exceptional customer service and optimising sales results. With a sound knowledge of wines, excellent computer skills (including e-commerce, POS, CRM and Microsoft Office applications) and a pro-active and dynamic leadership style, you will also be self-motivated with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
You will ideally have strong marketing and sales experience and have the ability to actively manage and grow our cellar door operations within the context of the broader business strategies of the business. In addition, you will be required to manage and maintain stock control and management, assist in brand and marketing support and promotion, manage property management tasks and functions and attend to a wide range of finance, administration, policy and procedure tasks.
As part of a small team, this is a hands on role and the successful applicant will be expected to lead by example in retail sales as well as attend to all management, strategic and reporting requirements of the role.
Reporting to the General Manager and part of the retail sales team based at the company’s head office in Leederville, this is a senior role at the winery operations in Margaret River. The role is full time and requires some preparedness to work flexible hours, including weekends and after hours, as required.
