About Us
Maxwell Wines was founded in 1979 and is family-owned and operated. Maxwell boasts an award-winning cellar door and restaurant, winery and vineyards all located on our estate in the heart of McLaren Vale.

In 2022, the Maxwell estate vineyards and winery were certified by Sustainable Winegrowing Australia and include the classic McLaren Vale grape varieties and emerging varieties of Nero d’Avola, Fiano and Grenache Blanc. We are also known as the producer of Australia’s favourite mead.

The Role
This role primarily involves facilitating guided wine tastings in our Cellar Door to achieve wine sales & wine club/mailing list recruitment. Hence, the role requires exceptional customer service and sales abilities as well as knowledge of, and a love for, wine.

You will need to be available to work Saturday, Sunday and one or two weekday shifts across a rotating roster.
- Immediate start available.
- 15 - 20 hours per week for the right candidate
- $28 - $39 per hour (including casual loading) + a monthly wine allowance and staff pricing on wine.

Essential Attributes
- A passion for providing exceptional customer experience
- 2+ years sales and/or hospitality experience
- Reasonable wine knowledge
- Valid RSA
- Reliable private transport

Preferred Attributes
- Cellar door/wine retail/sommelier experience
- WSET or other wine-focused qualifications
