We are seeking an Assistant Vineyard Manager for the role of implementing activities on our two vineyard properties in Wilyabrup. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to our Viticulturalist, with the key responsibility being to ensure agreed-upon production practices and systems are implemented.

The position is responsible for:

• Hands-on activities of pruning, trimming, trellis maintenance, pest / disease control, irrigation and harvest operations
• Leading vineyard staff and contractors, promoting a high level of safety, motivation and engagement
• Monitoring of the health and performance of the vineyards
• Recording of vineyard activities which enable the tracking of operational expenditure, yield forecasts, vine health and performance.
• Communicating effectively with the production team to optimise the efficient sharing of equipment and resources between sites.
• Machinery operations, including tractors, attachments and other vineyard equipment.
• Maintaining all vineyard work areas, plant, equipment and infrastructure to the highest standards.
• Ensuring a focus on Health & Safety at all times, and fostering a culture of safety and improvement within the work place.

The applicant must have a valid driver’s licence and be either an Australian citizen or resident or have a current Australian work visa.  It is preferable they a hold a chemical user permit, first aid certificate and forklift licence.
