We are currently seeking a full time, hands-on vineyard Assistant Manager to work closely with the Group Vineyard Manager to implement and oversee a detailed work program of premium winegrape production.

Willoughby Bridge Vineyard (established inl 997) was amongst the first new state of the art vineyards in the re-emergence of the Heathcote Wine Region. Its diverse 25 ha.portfolio of French, Italian and Iberian varieties have been instrumental in the success and prestige of the Shelmerdine, PHl and Merindoc Vintners brands.

The successful wine-focussed applicant must have viticultural/horticultural qualifications and experience, possess a strong work ethic, demonstrate pride in attention to detail, be willing to work both autonomously and in a team environment ,and conscientiously manage both staff and contract labour with a strong emphasis on occupational health and safety.

Required skills and duties: pruning, vine training, pest control and spray application, canopy management, irrigation operations, tractor operations, hand and machine harvesting activities, and general care and maintenance of all vineyard machinery and equipment.

The successful applicant will hold car licence and fork lift licences, chemical accreditation and Medium Rigid truck licence (highly desirable).

Applicants must legally be allowed to work in Australia.

An attractive remuneration package, including agreed relocation expenses if required, will be offered commensurate with experience and achievement.
