JOB DESCRIPTION

Logan is a boutique family owned wine business. A small team with an eye to progressive winemaking of high quality commercial wines and interests in the Orange and Mudgee regions of NSW.

We are on the lookout for an Assistant Winemaker to join our winemaking team from the 2020 vintage in Mudgee as a full time position. Timing to start late January.

Working with the Senior Winemaker, the Assistant Winemaker will be involved in all winemaking and cellar operations from grape receival through to fermentation management, blending, oak management and preparation for bottling, entering and maintain winery software files. Work hours will vary, dependent on winery activities. Applicants must be flexible to changing shifts, with some weekend work.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Light travel for participation in trade/promotional events will be required.

Recent graduates of a winemaking degree, with a minimum of three years previous vintage experience need only apply.

Strong organisation and communication skills necessary. The applicant must be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and also manage staff where required. A current Australian Standard forklift license is preferred.
