Four Winds Vineyard

Company Information

Four Winds Vineyard is a family owned and operated vineyard 4 kilometres east of Murrumbateman, New South Wales, and a 30minute drive north-west of Canberra.

We are a team that love our job and as a small business have enjoyed incorporating some new practices into our business.  We ran a successful crowd funding campaign to expand our existing winery in 2014, together with two neighbours we turned four tonnes of spare shiraz grapes into $41K for refugees living in Canberra, our photographic label design has won three international design awards and our CEO was named 2017 Australian Women in Wine owner/operator of the year.

Four Winds Vineyard has recently expanded to include Kyeema Estate – a 6ha vineyard and winery – hence the need for a new winemaker. This has given us access to some new varieties and some older vines and we are looking forward to growing the business with these new wines.

The business consists of two vineyards; the 33-acre Four Winds vineyard produces five varieties of grapes; Shiraz, Riesling, Cabernet, Merlot and Sangiovese, which were planted in 1998 and 1999. The Kyeema Estate Vineyard was planted in the early 1980s and is located on the Barton Highway and grows Shiraz, Chardonnay, Viognier, Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet.
