Austins Wines

Company Information

Austins is an outstanding vineyard and winery at Sutherlands Creek, in the heart of the Moorabool Valley, north west of Geelong.
Mission
Pinot Noir is the essence of Austins; fine fruit, first and foremost.
Bounded by the vineyard at Steiglitz Road and based on the history of the Geelong region, that core is shaped by the site's terroir and given momentum by the perception and acumen of the Austin family.
The blend of these elements transforms premium grapes into wines of finesse.
Description
Austins
This is the pinnacle of achievement within the family’s philosophy.
These wines represent the ultimate attainable from an understanding of site and terroir, the needs of the vine and a winemaking expertise in which less is more.
sixfootsix
One of the great tests in modern winemaking is to consistently produce Burgundian-style Pinot Noir at an affordable price. Responding to that challenge, Austins launched their sixfootsix label in 2003. The name comes from the extraordinary tale of William Buckley. A Geelong folk-hero of convict origins, historic records reveal that William was an enormous man, for his day, standing six foot six inches tall.
sixfootsix Pinot Noir offers quality fruit, deliciously varietal and in a style that is appealing, satisfying and accessible. Imposing in stature but so refined, sixfootsix Pinot Noir will grace any table.
