Two Hands Wines

Company Information

Founded in 1999 by two friends with a passion for great wine, Two Hands Wines’ ambition is to showcase the diversity of Australian Shiraz. Driven by a passion for quality, Two Hands aims to highlight the nuances of fruit expression of the variety from six prized and diverse wine growing regions across South Australia and Victoria.

The name Two Hands was inspired by the personal, artisanal and ‘hands-on’ approach to the craft of wine growing taken by Michael Twelftree and his team.

Two Hands’ first vintage was in 2000 and started with 17 tonnes of fruit sourced from McLaren Vale and Padthaway regions in South Australia. 2004 saw a state-of-the art winery built in picturesque Barossa, specifically designed for small-batch wine productions. To maximize the individual regional and varietal characteristics and allow greater quality control, every parcel of fruit, no matter how small, is handled separately from crushing, fermentation and oak maturation.

Today, Two Hands is exported to 65 countries, crush 12 different varieties, and each vintage crush up to 1000 tonnes.
