From the streets of Portugal to our cork plant at WineWorks Hawke’s Bay, where she shared an office with the WineWorks dispatch team (back in the days when no one gave a damn about regulations), Sally established a reputation as the world’s first cork dog. With her Cleopatra eyes and a formidable nose for sniffing out rogue corks, Sally became better known than her owners. She visited wineries in all the wine regions of NZ … giving those wine dogs a run for their money at every turn.
Sadly our Sally died in 2007. We still miss our cork dog.
