Description

Gill Estate is a growing family-owned and operated winery just outside of Mildura in the Sunraysia region. The Winery (previously known as Deakin Estate) produces our award winning ‘Rivah’ wine range. Based along the Murray River, our climate is warm and sunny, the perfect environment for creating quality wine and fruit.  We are passionate about wine and would love for you to be too when you join the Gill Estate team.

We are searching for Winemaking Experience to grow our team  - Winemaker / Assistant Winemaker or Graduate Winemaker.

This role is full-time and permanent.

About the ROLE:

  • Maintain and complete daily winemaking operations, including monitoring laboratory results.
  • Assistant in managing Contract Processing and Storage Contracts, and customer relationships.
  • Prepare and co-ordinate Wine for Bottling and all packaging requirements.
  • Promote and work closely with business to develop and grow Gill Estate Wine Portfolios awareness (Wine Tastings)
  • Maintaining wine management system (Vintrace)
  • Adhere to Company Procedures and Policy’s ensuring all wines made to style, high quality and meet required Regulations and Standards
  • Help drive compliance in WH&S, Quality and Environmental management systems and process improvements, including HACCP and SWA.

About YOU:

  • Previous Wine Industry Experience
  • Currently studying or completed Tertiary Qualification in Wine Science/Oenology or equivalent is essential.
  • Previous Laboratory and/or Cellar experience highly regarded.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work extended/additional hours
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Have permanent residency in Australia
