Millbrook is an acclaimed restaurant within a stunning winery and cellar door located in Jarrahdale, 50 minutes south-east of the Perth CBD and is part of the Fogarty Wine Group. The winery is situated at the picturesque Chestnut Farm, a property that backs on to the Serpentine River.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Millbrook Winery Team as the Vineyard/Farm Supervisor in a full time position. Reporting to the Head Viticulturist, the successful applicant will oversee the day-to-day operations of the 8-hectare vineyard, olive grove and farm with a small number of cattle on the property.

Minimum of 5 years farm experience

Australian resident or citizen

Primary Responsibilities

• Pruning of vines
• irrigation and trellising repairs and maintenance
• Grape harvesting
• Manage and supervise contractors for pruning, canopy work and harvesting
• Pest and disease monitoring
• Chemical application
• Operating tractors, spray equipment, mowers, hedge trimmers and other farm machinery and equipment
• General maintenance
• General farm maintenance and Fencing
• Animal Husbandry

Skills & Experience

• Chemical accreditation or similar (preferred)
• Animal Husbandry/Handling
• Knowledge of irrigation systems
• Knowledge of pest, disease and weed control
• Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety procedures
• Experience in maintaining tractors, small engines etc.
• Current drivers’ licence

Reporting to the Head Viticulturist, the successful applicant will be hard working; reliable; self-motivated; have good communication, leadership and presentation skills; and be capable of working autonomously or in a small team.
