We are looking for an experienced Winemaker/ Cellar Hand to join our small team in Karnup, Western Australia.

The role would be for a minimum of 3 days per week on Permanent Part Time basis.

Additional days and hours of work will be required during vintage from late January through to April.

Tasks would include but not limited to all areas of wine production, quality control and bottling.

Additional tasks may include but not limited to, vineyard operations and general winery maintenance.

Attention to detail in all aspects of the wine production, wine storage and maturation, bottling and record keeping is required.

As Peel Estate Wines is a small team you will need to be flexible with your approach to your working day and be ready to lend a helping hand with tasks in other areas of the winery, vineyard, grounds and sales.

This position reports directly to the owner.

Skills and Experience required

• Previous experience as a winemaker or cellar hand is essential
• Attention to all work details is essential
• Be physically fit as the role is hands on and can be physically demanding
• Driver’s License and own transport as there is no public transport available
• Ability to work autonomously and within a small team
• Awareness of personal and workplace safety
• Able to work longer hours during vintage period
• Laboratory experience favorable
