PACKAGING & LOGISTICS  COORDINATOR

FULL TIME POSITION

 

About The Company

Geoff Johnston Wines Pty Ltd, trading as Pirramimma was established in 1892 and is currently owned and managed by Geoff Johnston and his family. Located close to the picturesque township of McLaren Vale, Pirramimma continues in the tradition of producing high quality grapes and superior wines which have over many years gained both national and international acclaim. The Company’s 120 hectares of vineyards are located in McLaren Vale and Kuitpo in the Adelaide Hills.

About The Role

Working closely with the sales and winemaking teams, the successful applicant will be responsible for the coordination and approval of all dry goods procurement and packaging to ensure the timely coordination of bottling schedules. Critical aspects of the role include providing excellent customer service both domestically and internationally, from invoicing through to delivery ensuring all documentation meets required standards.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Stock Management/ Packaging

  • Work closely with the sales and wine making teams to ensure that production is aligned to meet customer requirements
  • Administer bottling schedules and specifications
  • Coordinate creation and approval of packaging to meet production schedule.
  • Ensure packaging adheres to domestic and export specifications
  • Packaged stock management

 

Export/Logistics

  • Liaise with stakeholders, including customers, internal partners, and transport companies
  • Build and maintain long term partnerships with both clients and shipping providers
  • Process sales invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare export documentation in accordance with individual customer and country requirements
  • Manage and monitor vessel schedules and container loading
  • Ensure export orders are packed according to customs and quarantine requirements.
  • Review and approve invoices for shipping and freight costs and report on any discrepancies
  • Process domestic orders and coordinate dispatch as required

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar role within supply chain, FMCG or the wine industry
  • Tertiary Qualification will be an advantage
  • Attention to detail, dedication to accuracy, and the ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Suite and ability to quickly learn systems and processes.
