An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and dedicated Laboratory Supervisor to join our team.

Based at our winery in the Riverland, this full-time position is essential in ensuring our laboratory operations, systems and processes are performed efficiently, safely, accurately and meet international and Australian standards.

As a Laboratory Supervisor your key responsibilities will include:
•Supervise and lead laboratory staff.
•Contribute to review and development of procedures.
•Monitor production levels and quality and drive increases and improvements where required.
•Liaise with internal customers regarding work progress and coordinate work requests.
•Prepare and verify analysis results.
•Ensure housekeeping is maintained in the laboratory and the adherence of safety standards by your staff.
•Ensure all staff are following Health and Safety procedures in all areas of the laboratory.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
•A high level of self-motivation.
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Solid numerical abilities and a sound understanding of statistics.
•Strong computing skills. Ability to work with Microsoft Office programs.
•Solid verbal, negotiation and written communication skills.
•Strong leadership and organisational skills.
•Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

A tertiary qualification in chemistry or similar with proven laboratory experience is essential. An understanding of ISO 17025 and food quality management would be considered an advantage.
