Gill Estate is a growing family-owned and operated winery just outside of Mildura in the Sunraysia region. The Winery (previously known as Deakin Estate) produces our award winning ‘Rivah’ wine range. Based along the Murray River, our climate is warm and sunny, the perfect environment for creating quality wine and fruit.  We are passionate about wine and would love for you to be too when you join the Gill Estate team.

We are searching for experienced and energetic Cellar Personnel to join our team.

This role is full-time and permanent and will require additional hours/shift work during our vintage period (Jan-April)

About the ROLE:

Reporting to the Cellar Manager your duties and responsibilities may include

• Perform General Cellar Duties including transfers, blends, tanker loading/unloading, general and inert gas additions.
• Operation of Machinery; Crusher, Press, Centrifuge, Filtration Units
• Maintain good Winery Hygiene and Cleanliness – cleaning
• Wine and juice handling operations to adhere with our HACCP and Sustainable Winegrowing Australia accredited winery and procedures.
• Safety and Quality mindset - Help drive compliance in WH&S, Quality, and Environmental management systems and process improvements.
• Concisely and accurately record details of operations, including, tank dips/volumes and batch numbers and query any discrepancies immediately as they arise.

About YOU:

• Previous Wine Industry Experience to help drive efficiencies.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Ability to perform manual handling and work out-doors.
• Current Drivers Licence is essential.
• Forklift Licence, Confined Space Certificate, Qualifications in Cellar Operations or similar preferred but not essential.
• Have permanent residency in Australia
