Description

Philip Shaw Wines is a family-owned winery that crafts high altitude grapes with a focus on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but also other varieties such as Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Arneis, Pinot Meunier, Merlot, Shiraz, Cabernet (Sauv and Franc). The total volume is about 600 ton per annum, depending on vintage.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for vintage cellar hands to join our hard-working and enthusiastic team during the 2023 vintage in the cool climate region of Orange, NSW.

Commencing around February vintage will last until mid-May/June. It is expected you will be available for the whole period.

Being a small winery you will have the opportunity to learn and practice all cellar duties. The right candidate will need to be prepared to work long hours and shift during the busiest part of harvest and be able to work well with a small crew.

Benefits of working with us:

During the week we have a chef prepared lunch, and, more importantly we taste many wines from different wineries from Australia and the world, according to what we are harvesting that week.

Moreover, because we believe in the convivial side of the wine, we organize dinners once a week. This time the chef could be you.

Drivers’ license and your own vehicle is desirable, as well as full working rights in Australia. Forklift drivers' license is a bonus.

Please apply with your resume and cover letter.
