In 1998, Jack and Eddie founded Hirsch Hill in the Yarra Valley, transforming a simple farm property into the beginnings of a vineyard. Jack planted the first vines, laying the groundwork for a venture built on hard work and dedication. Hirsch Hill’s story evolved with a commitment to quality winemaking and a philosophy rooted in the belief that there are no shortcuts in life. This ethos propelled the vineyard forward, resulting in significant growth. In 2023, a new chapter unfolded with Hirsch Hill producing our own wine under the guidance of Chief Winemaker Peter Mackey, symbolising the ongoing evolution of the vineyard. Today, with the second generation in charge, the legacy of hard work and dedication persists as Hirsch Hill continues to thrive, embodying the values established since those initial vines took root.
