KEY DUTIES:

 The Warehouse and Production Manager is a key member of the Plantagenet team, working on all aspects of production and stock management. Leading a small team of dedicated staff, the warehouse and production manager is responsible for the on time bottling, procurement of dry goods, management of inventory and fulfilment of sales orders. Working closely with the winemakers to ensure that all wines are bottled in accordance with the company’s strict quality controls, procedures and safety practises.   

   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Warehouse and Stock Management

  • Management of and responsibility for all stock including bottled wine and dry goods;
  • Monthly stock takes as directed by accounting;
  • Processing of all sales orders and fulfilments;
  • Arrange all rail and road freight for relevant orders and liaising with the Logistics coordinator on all shipping requirements;

 Production & Bottling

  • Coordination of monthly production meetings;
  • Working together with the winemakers and sales managers on timing of bottlings and appropriate market allocations.
  • Timely ordering of all dry goods and relevant materials to allow for on time production and bottling.
  • Assist and advise Bottling Line Operator with regular maintenance and quality checks for the bottling line;
  • Ordering and receival of all dry goods including bottles, caps, labels, cartons and general warehouse supplies;
  • Working closely with suppliers to ensure on time delivery, cost competitiveness and ongoing quality of supplies;

 Reporting

  • Market and product allocations;
  • Production timetables;
  • Annual budgets and business plans;

 Staffing

  • Management and coordination of the casual bottling staff hours and performance;
  • Fortnightly timesheets;

 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to lead and motivate staff;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Prior production and bottling experience;
  • Mechanical aptitude;
  • Forklift ticket;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • High regard for OH&S in the work place.
