The Viticulturist Technician will be responsible for obtaining and recording pruning weights, collecting and performing soil and tissue tests, cluster counts, cluster weights, and fruit samples. This individual will make observations and take measurements of vine and fruit growth development. Conducts and records observations of various vineyard field experiments. Reporting general conditions of vineyard blocks to the Vineyard Manager. Other responsibilities may include driving tractors and trucks, entering general data, ordering supplies, and helping crews when needed during harvest, pruning and the rest of the growing season.

Requirements for this position are as follows:
Degree in viticulture, plant science or related field
Previous vineyard work experience
Ability to work outdoors in both cool and hot temperatures
Agility, walking on uneven ground, bending and crouching to collect samples or hooking up equipment
Excellent communication skills
Ability to follow directions, prioritize and manage time effectively
Availability to work overtime and weekends if necessary

Salary Information: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour DOE
